Our Monastery, named in honor of the Holy Face of Jesus, was founded on March 19, 2014. A farmhouse and attached garage had been renovated by the Diocese of Bismarck to serve as a temporary Monastery and Chapel, making it possible for five of us to come and begin our work of prayer and sacrifice here in Emmons County, N.D.
The present building, although adequate for five Nuns, does not allow for us to accept new vocations, as we do not have room to accommodate them, nor a separate area we can reserve for a Novitiate, where young women aspiring to our life would receive their initial formation.
The need for a Novitiate, in order to begin to receive new members, as well as the eventual need for a permanent Monastery, capable of accommodating a full Community of 21 Nuns as well as a larger Chapel for the public, have led us to embark on this building project. We intend to build onsite, where our temporary Monastery currently is.
We humbly ask your help and support in this building project. We recently received new drawings from our architect which you can see posted here. Any assistance you could provide us with would be greatly appreciated, and God will certainly not fail to reward you for your generosity.
